Vandalism to Vehicles - Community Advisory

On July 31, 2013, at approximately 5:48 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 8100 block of Lockney Avenue for the report of vandalism to two vehicles. Some time between July 30 at 7:00 pm and July 31 at 5:30 am, unknown suspect(s) vandalized two vehicles by using an unknown pointed-edged tool to leave scratch marks on the passenger side of both vehicles.

Vandalism of Vehicles; Destruction of Property - Community Advisory

On July 30, 2013, Takoma Park Police responded to the Washington Adventist University on Flower Avenue for the report of a vandalism to several vehicles parked along the street in front of the dormitory. Some time between July 29 at 12:00 am and July 30 at 7:00 am, unknown suspect(s) vandalized three vehicles. All vehicles had their passenger side mirrors ripped/broken off.

Residential Burglary - Community Advisory

On July 30, 2013, at approximately 7:25 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7000 block of Sycamore Avenue for reports of a residential burglary that occurred earlier some time between July 27 at 8:00 pm and July 29 at 8:00 pm. Unknown suspect(s) made entry into the residence by entering a possibly unlocked rear screen porch door. Property was stolen.

Attempt Residential Burglary - Community Advisory

On July 29, 2013, at approximately 1:15 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 6700 block of Gude Avenue for reports of an attempt residential burglary. Some time between July 28 at 10:00 pm and July 29 at 7:00 am, unknown suspect(s) cleared/trimmed away an overgrowth of vines located on a front window of the residence, removed the window screen and attempted to gain entry. Entry was not made.

Theft from Auto - Community Advisory

On July 24, 2013, at approximately 7:31 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7200 block of 14th Avenue for a report of a theft from auto that occurred earlier sometime between July 23 at 9:00 pm and July 24 at 8:45 am. Unknown suspect(s) removed a tire from the rear of the vehicle.

Summer Bicycle Thefts - Community Advisory

Between June 3 and July 9, five bicycle thefts have occurred. All incidents took place in the afternoon/evenings. The thefts occurred in the following areas:

Unit block of Pine Avenue (Kona Smoke)

7000 block of Carroll Avenue (Trek 7300 Multitrack)

7100 block of Woodland Avenue (Silver Marin)

7900 block of Lockney Avenue (Unknown)
