On February 27, 2014, at approximately 9:57 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7100 block of Maple Avenue for a report of a theft from auto. Sometime between February 25 at 11:30 am and February 27 at 9:45 am, unknown suspect(s) stole property from the victim's vehicle.

Vandalism to Auto - Community Advisory

On February 25, 2014, at approximately 9:52 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the unit block of Ritchie Avenue for the report of a vandalism to auto. Unknown suspect(s) smashed out the passenger side rear window of the victim's vehicle in an unknown manner. No property was taken.

Residential Burglary - Community Advisory

On February 25, 2014, at approximately 3:13 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 6600 block of Eastern Avenue for a report of a residential burglary. Sometime between 7:30 am and 3:00 pm, unknown suspect(s)made entry into the residence by prying open the front door to the residence with an unknown object. It is unknown at this time if property was stolen.

Updated Winter Weather Advisory - Community Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Montgomery County for late tonight until midday tomorrow (Wednesday, Feb 26).

 

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is issued when frozen precipitation is expected which may impact travel. Travel may become hazardous. Caution should be used during any travel.

Tonight is the Takoma Park Crime Prevention Town Hall Meeting that begins at 7:00 pm.

PARKING: The Assistant Principal at Piney Branch Elementary School (next door to the City Building), has approved parking in their school lot for this event.
