Chief Alan M. Goldberg of the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of a 17 year old male juvenile of Washington, D.C., for attempt theft from auto, possession of burglary tools, rogue and vagabond and possession of stolen property.

On August 27, 2013, at approximately 3:50 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7000 block of Poplar Avenue for an attempt theft from auto. Officers met with witnesses who saw the male juvenile attempting to gain entry into two vehicles. A canvass was conducted of the area and the juvenile was apprehended by Takoma Park Police while he was attempting to steal a bike to continue to flee.

The juvenile was charged and released to the custody of guardians.
