Takoma Park Police Department Weekly Crime Report: 6/7/13 - 6/13/13

Arrests:

7500 blk. of Maple Ave., on Tuesday, June 11th at 7:30 a.m., a female 30, was arrested for having and open Failure to Appear While Driving Suspended warrant.

6300 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Wednesday, June 12th at 1:32 p.m., a male 54, was arrested for having an open Failure to Appear Driving Without a License warrant.

7600 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Sunday, June 9th at 5:28 p.m., two males 40 and 33 were arrested for drinking alcohol in public.

Ward 1:

Larceny from Vehicle

7300 blk. of Baltimore Ave., on Wednesday, June 12th at 6:05 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred overnight. Unknown suspect(s) broke a passenger window to gain entry into a vehicle and stole property.

Ward 2:

Residential Burglary

1100 blk. of Linden Ave., on Tuesday, June 11th at 10:00 a.m., two males both 17 were arrested for Burglary, Theft Under $10,000, and Destruction of property after entering an apartment without force and stealing property.

Assault

1100 blk. of Linden Ave., on Monday, June 10th at 2:31 p.m., officers responded to an assault in progress. A male 19, was arrested for assaulting a male victim during a domestic argument that turned physical.

8100 blk. of Roanoke Ave., on Wednesday, June 12th at 2:01 p.m., officers responded to an assault in progress. A female 50, was arrested for assaulting a female victim during an argument that turned physical.

Ward 6:

Robbery

7400 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Friday, June 7th at 9:18 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that just occurred. A male victim was talking on his cell phone outside of a hotel room when he was approached by two male suspects who brandished a knife and demanded property. The suspects took the property and fled in an unknown direction. The victims were unharmed.

Larceny

7600 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Saturday, June 8th at 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred earlier. A male suspect approached a male victim in a parking lot and snatched the victims watch before fleeing the scene on foot toward University Blvd.

1100 blk. of University Blvd., on Saturday, June 8th at 11:54 a.m., officers responded to a theft that occurred earlier. An unknown female suspect removed a victim’s unattended cell phone from a table and fled the business in an unknown direction.
