Fair Return Training
Landlords who believe that the net operating income generated by their rental property has decreased over the years and would like to increase the rents above the established annual rent stabilization allowance are encouraged to participate in this two-hour training. The class, offered on a quarterly basis, takes landlords step by step through the petition process and provides guidance on the presentation of required documentation.
Landlord Certification Seminar
Monthly seminar offered to current and prospective landlords seeking required Landlord Certification. The 90-minute seminar provides landlords and their agents with a working knowledge of the laws governing the management, operation, maintenance and sale of rental housing property in Takoma Park. First Time Home Buyer
Offered by a HUD-approved housing agency, participants will receive a certificate of completion that may be used to access low interest loans offered through Montgomery County and the State of Maryland. Experts from a real estate office, lending institution, title company and inspection company will tell you all about their roles in the purchasing process.
The next workshop is on Saturday, June 15 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Avenue.
