Takoma Park Police Department Weekly Crime Report: 10/18/13 - 10/24/13

Arrests:

7600 blk. of New Hampshire Ave., on Tuesday, October 22nd at 12:13 p.m., a male 25, was arrested for having an open theft and forgery warrant.

7500 blk. of Maple Ave., on Monday, October 21st at 4:43 a.m., a male 34, was arrested for having an open failure to pay child support warrant.

Found Dog Looking for Owner - Community Advisory

A resident of Takoma Park found a dog at the corner of Erskine and 17th in the front yard of a home. She is very sweet and friendly and is wearing a red collar with no tags. She is possibly 1-2 years old. Her photograph is attached.

She is currently being held by the resident in the hopes she can be returned home. If she is yours, or you know who she belongs to, please call 301-957-4112 and get her home! Thank you.

Theft from Auto and Destruction of Property - Community Advisory

On October 23, 2013, Takoma Park Police responded to the parking lot of the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue for a report of a theft from auto that occurred earlier sometime between October 22 at 5:30 pm and October 23 at 6:00 am. Unknown suspect(s) smashed out the front passenger side window of the victim's vehicle and stole property.

Theft from Auto - Community Advisory

On October 23, 2013, at approximately 8:00 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the police station to take a report for a theft from auto that occurred in the 7400 block of Jackson Avenue. Some time between October 22 at 7:30 pm and October 23 at 8:00 am, unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's vehicle through an unlocked door and stole property.
