HOW TO FILE CHARGES
If a commissioner does not charge the offender contact the State's Attorney's Office to request a review of the application for charges. OBTAINING A COPY OF THE POLICE REPORT A copy of your police report may be obtained at the Takoma Park Police Department. Reports are $5.00 each. Hours are: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Victims may call the Victim Assistant for reports at no charge (301) 891-7147. INFORMATION ON CASE STATUS/SUSPECT'S/DEFENDANT'S COURT DATES V.I.N.E. (866) MD4-VINE The Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office offers the Victim Identification and Notification Everyday (V.I.N.E.) system. A 24-hour automated telephone service to assist crime victims and witnesses regarding important custody and court information. You must know at least one of these to use this system: defendant's name, inmate number, or case tracking number.
