Coaches, Volunteers, and Staff (Background Checks)
The Takoma Park Recreation Department has begun conducting background checks on all those serving as head coaches in our youth sports programs. Similarly, the department will continue to screen volunteers and staff who work with youth to help ensure the safest environment possible for our youth participants.
To enhance safety and reduce risk, the Takoma Park Recreation Department conducts screenings based on the NRPA Recommended Guidelines for Credentialing Volunteers and is consistent with Operation TLC² Making Communities Safestandards. |
