2009 Takoma Park Resident Survey

The City of Takoma Park, Maryland contracted with National Research Center, Inc. (NRC) to
conduct a community-wide resident survey. The 2009 Takoma Park Resident Survey serves as a
consumer report card for Takoma Park by providing residents the opportunity to rate the quality of
life in the City, as well as the community’s amenities, service delivery and their satisfaction with local
government. The survey also permits residents to provide feedback to government on what is
working well and what is not, and to communicate their priorities for community planning and
resource allocation. This was the second implementation of the Takoma Park Resident Survey, with
the first having been conducted in 2007. (See below for 2007 Survey)

National Research Center, Inc. will be presenting the Survey Results to the City Council on Monday, January 25, 2010. Residents are welcome to attend this meeting at 7500 Maple Avenue, starting at 7:30. The Council meeting will be cablecast live on Takoma Park City TV (Channel 13 on Comcast and RCN; channel 28 on Verizon FIOS). It can also be watched as a live webcast HERE.

2007 Takoma Park Resident Survey

The City contracted with National Research Center, Inc. to conduct the first survey of City residents. The survey provided residents with the opportunity to provide feedback on the quality of life in Takoma Park and City services. Special sections of the survey addressed services provided by the Takoma Park Police Department, communications outreach, and the possible addition of a gymnasium to the Community Center.

National Research Center, Inc. will be presenting the survey results to the City Council on Monday, January 14, 2008. Residents are welcome to attend this Council meeting, to watch it on City TV 13 or to view it as a live webstream on this website.
