Water Main Break - Update: Pipe repairs Complete and Water Service Has Been Restored.

WSSC Update: Pipe repairs are complete, and water service has been restored. Crews are in the process of backfilling and will temporarily patch the area.

Heavy water flow has been observed running down the street near Houston Avenue, prompting the placement of barricades in front of 641 Houston and 666 Houston. These barricades are set up to prevent access to Sligo Creek Parkway due to safety concerns.

• Park Police have closed the intersections at Sligo Creek Parkway/Maple Avenue and Sligo Creek Parkway/Piney Branch Road. Residents and commuters are advised to avoid these areas and seek alternate routes.
• WSSC has set up a water station for impacted residents at 666 Houston Avenue - Winslow House Apartments.
• The Department of Public Works (PW) is on the scene, actively coordinating with WSSC, which is working diligently to resolve the issue.
