Maple Avenue Complete Streets Redesign

About Maple Avenue Complete Streets

Maple Avenue is a well-traveled neighborhood street that connects residents and visitors to schools, places of employment, dense housing, transit, and recreational opportunities. Due to its context and prominence, the City is looking at strengthening transportation connections on Maple Avenue by prioritizing pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit users to provide safer, more convenient, and more comfortable travel for all roadway users.

Current Project Status

Preliminary designs (30% Designs) were completed on June 30th, 2021. Toole Design Group was selected as the contractor for this project to develop a preliminary design concept for a Complete Streets redesign of Maple Avenue from the Sligo Creek Trail to the DC Line. The final products include cost estimates for improvements and preliminary design drawings for implementation.
