E-Workshop Series: All Things Trees - Starting Saturday, April 10 at 12:30 p.m.

The City of Takoma Park will be offering a round of e-workshops this spring to serve as an opportunity for residents to learn about all things trees.

This follows a successful round of workshops held this past fall.  Workshop content has been developed by Maryland Sustainable Ecologies and will be presented by ISA Board Certified Master Arborist Richard Jones.

Sessions will be conducted using the Zoom video conferencing web platform and will last for 30 minutes with a question and answer period.  Workshops will be limited to 25 participants and signups will be accepted on a rolling basis until the slots are filled.  See below for more details.* **

    • Saturday, April 10 at 12:30 pm:
      Legal Considerations with Trees
    • Saturday, April 17, at 12:30 pm:
      Topic: Introduction to Invasive Species: Japanese Stiltgrass, Asian
      Longhorned Beetle, Tree of Heaven, Spotted Lanternfly,
      Emerald Ash Borer, and Oriental Bittersweet
    • Saturday, April 24, at 12:30 pm:
      Topic: Urban Forestry: A detailed look at analyzing tree benefits and inventories


  • Note that some sessions will cover similar material to the fall series.
  • Open to all Takoma Park residents.

The Urban Forest Manager will email a web link to all registered participants to access the session on Friday the day before it is scheduled to occur.  Simply click the link at the time of the workshop.
