National Night Out is tomorrow 8/7

Tuesday, August 7, 2018
6 pm – 9 pm
7510 Maple Avenue
In front of Piney Branch Elementary School

National Night Out, celebrated by police departments across the nation, is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). The Takoma Park Police Department will be hosting its own community event in celebration of this campaign. The department’s goal is to heighten safety and crime prevention awareness; to support locally-based businesses, groups, and organizations; and to strengthen relationships among community members and between the community and local police department.

The event is free, so bring your whole family and invite all your friends! This year’s event will include informational brochures on various safety topics and crime prevention, food and give-aways. There will be various events, including child fingerprint kits & child fingerprinting, a moon bounce, face painting, games & prizes, food & ice cream… just to name a few! Did I mention that the event is FREE?

Maple Avenue will be closed to all traffic from Grant Avenue to Lee Avenue from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

There will be No Parking along Maple Avenue from Grant Avenue to Lee Avenue and No Parking in the Piney Branch Elementary School lot from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

We look forward to seeing everyone!
