Stop the Bleed Training: Two Classes Are Available This Fall
The Emergency Preparedness Committee for the City of Takoma Park is offering a one-and-a-half (1.5) course on how you can control severe bleeding due to an accident or intentional harm. The techniques taught will show various ways to control severe bleeding on someone using just your two hands, to someone that has access to a full trauma kit.
Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death from trauma. The sooner the severe bleeding is controlled the higher the chance someone has to survive.
To reserve a seat at the training, complete the application, and submit. Classes are open to Takoma Park area residents, and you must be 16 years of age or older.
