Plastic Bag Ban Now in Effect!

Effective December 1, 2016, the commercial use of plastic single-use bags at point of sale is prohibited in Takoma Park. Exceptions include dry cleaning bags and newspaper bags where newspapers are delivered by the publisher, and non-point of sale plastic bags such as those used for produce.
