The Finance Office oversees the City’s financial resources, processes payroll, pays bills, collects certain fees, and safeguards and invests City funds.
The Office prepares an annual report and facilitates the annual audit of the City’s financial management.
Payment of City Fees
Payments associated with a City-issued invoices may be made online by Visa, Mastercard and Discover. A convenience fee of 2.9% or $1.50, whichever is greater, will be charged. E-check transaction users will have a $1.50 convenience fee charged.
The following fees can be paid online:
- Landlord registration and licensing
- Holiday Art Sale Vendor Fee – $25 per booth
- Parking fines
- Recreation programs
*City property tax and Stormwater payments are collected by Montgomery County. Takoma Park Finance Office will no longer accept payment for Stormwater fees. Stormwater on-line payment by EB2.gov will not be available effective July 1, 2018.

Speed Camera Citations
Payments for speed camera citations are not accepted at the Community Center or the Finance Department. See the Speed Cameras page for information on how to pay a speed camera citation issued by the City of Takoma Park.
