STATEMENT ABOUT RESUMING BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS DURING THE COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY
Due to the public health emergency, regular City board, commission, and committee meetings were cancelled. As we move to a phase where the social distancing requirements will continue for an indefinite duration, City boards, commissions and committees may begin to resume meeting (remotely) if they feel it is necessary and if there is staff capacity to provide the needed support. Meetings will continue to be open to the public (by audio and, in some cases, video) and will be conducted in conformance with the Maryland Open Meetings Act. Until further notice, boards and commissions that perform a quasi-judicial function (such as holding hearings) shall not meet in that capacity.
All meetings of the City Council and all Council-appointed board, commission and committee meetings are open to the public unless noted otherwise. Scheduled meetings are posted on this calendar, in the Takoma Park Newsletter, on the weekly Takoma Insider email [Insider signup link] and on the weekly City Council agenda email [agenda signup link]. This calendar will have the most up to date information.

Meeting locations are included on the calendar entry. Most meetings are held at the Takoma Park Community Center – Sam Abbott Citizens’ Center at 7500 Maple Avenue. If a facility is closed due to inclement weather or other emergencies, meetings will be postponed or canceled and notice will be provided on this site.
