Art Exhibition Series
The Takoma Park Community Center is a vibrant hub of activity with several galleries that feature wall-mounted work. Hundreds of people visit the Community Center every week, offering an excellent opportunity for artists to share their work with the public. No commission is charged for any sales.
Applications are being sought from members of the Takoma ARTery artists group for an upcoming exhibition. The submission deadline is June 9, and there is more info here.
Gallery Space
The Galleries at the Takoma Park Community Center present the work of local and regional visual artists in three gallery spaces. The Atrium Gallery, Corridor Space, and Dempsey Gallery are located on the main floor of the Community Center and are open:
Monday through Friday – 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM
Saturdays – 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Sundays – 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Gallery Three located on the third floor is open:
Monday through Friday – 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

What to Expect
Exhibits are located in one of the three galleries located in the Takoma Park Community Center. They are thematically grouped and run for a period of two to three months. Selected artists are responsible for delivering their artwork, promoting the opening reception, and picking up their artwork at the end of the exhibition. There is no commission charged on any sales, and all work must remain on display until the end of the show.
The City will promote gallery events on the City of Takoma Park website, City TV, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and the Takoma Park Arts e-newsletter. Additional promotion efforts may include the distribution of fliers, brochures, and articles in the Takoma Park Newsletter.

Guidelines and more specific requirements will be provided to artists selected for future exhibitions.
