About the Sustainable Maryland Committee (Green Team)

The purpose of the Sustainable Maryland Committee is to work in partnership with the City Council and City staff to allow the City to achieve and renew Sustainable Maryland Certification which will help meet its environmental goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. The Sustainable Maryland Committee will identify projects that meet the City’s interest and needs for Sustainable Maryland Certified, and will work with the City Council and City staff to develop recommendations for a Sustainable Maryland Certified one-year and three-year action plan.
2. The Sustainable Maryland Committee will assist in documenting the necessary information to achieve certification through the Sustainable Maryland program.

Membership and Terms

Seven to nine members will be appointed to two-year terms. Initial appointments will be for one or two years. Terms expire on June 30.
