The City Council will vote to convene in closed session: 1) to meet with staff and the City’s Labor Attorney to receive a briefing on and to discuss matters related to collective bargaining negotiations with the City’s two unions; and 2) to meet with staff and legal counsel regarding NDC and the Takoma Junction Project. The meeting will be closed pursuant to Annotated Code of Maryland, General Provisions Article, § 3-305(b)(7) which permits a meeting to be closed to receive legal advice; § 3-305(b)(9) which permits a meeting to be closed to discuss matters related to collective bargaining negotiations; and § 3-305(b)(8) which permits a meeting to be closed to consult with staff and counsel to discuss pending or potential litigation. The City Council will vote to convene in closed session in order to meet with staff and the City’s Labor Attorney to receive a briefing on and to discuss matters related to collective bargaining negotiations with the City’s two unions.
