About Police Department Dispatch & Administration Renovation/ Atrium Floor Close In

In order to provide a more usable space in the Community Center lobby, the project will close in the Atrium Floor. This will enable the Police area including the Lobby, Dispatch office and Administrative offices to be reconfigured to provide improved work space and an enclosed Police lobby.

The architectural firm of Bignell, Watkins and Hasser , with which the City has an on-call contract for office renovation design, has prepared the final concept plan (attached). The development of this project began in FY 2017. Funding was included in the FY19 budget to complete design and fund construction.

Current Project Status:

Final design plans were completed in August, 2018. The architect is now developing construction drawings. Once complete, the city will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)  for construction, review proposals and select a contractor. The Council will review and approve the selection. Construction is anticipated in Summer, 2019.
