Winter Weather Response Plan
The Public Works Department has a winter weather response plan that divides the City into five snow removal zones, each with an assigned response vehicle.
- Within each zone, the streets are identified as primary or secondary streets.
- Primary streets have the most traffic and connect neighborhoods.
- Secondary streets are shorter, with fewer homes, and may include courts, alleys, or dead ends.
- Crews first clear primary streets and then proceed to the secondary streets.
Essential City staff will also be clearing sidewalks at city facilities and parks beginning in the morning and continuing until dark. Access the Snow Removal webpage to learn more about the City's response plan for winter weather.
