Y.E.S. Basketball League
The Y.E.S. Basketball League is a middle and high school developmental community league that has been in existence since 2012.
This program provides a positive venue for teenage youth to express themselves through the game of basketball. Teams will be guaranteed five games and each participant will receive a Y.E.S. League t-shirt. The season concludes with playoffs and a championship game. Open to rising 6th – 12th graders.
Program goals:
- Introduce youth to the fundamentals of basketball
- Encourage personal improvement, sportsmanship, and fun
- Provide comparable playing time for all participants
- Meet new kids from community and surrounding areas

All divisions fill well before the season starts so don’t wait to sign up! If a division is full, your child will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if a spot on a team becomes available.

All of our volunteers are required to complete a background consent form prior to working directly with our youth. If you are interested in volunteering, please follow the link below to complete the online application. Remember to select John Webster as the “individual requesting the background screening” when filling out the application.
Y.E.S. League Game Information
Games will be played at Takoma Park Recreation Center on Mondays (middle school division) and Wednesdays (high school division), starting at 6pm.
If there are game cancellations, the Recreation Department will attempt to reschedule a maximum of two games.**
