WSSC to Close Flower Avenue Between Piney Branch and Domer Avenue Tomorrow for Emergency Repairs

Road Closures will be at Flower Avenue between Piney Branch Road and Domer Avenue tomorrow, December 7, to perform emergency repairs on a water main servicing 8606 Flower Avenue. Repairs are scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00 or 8:00 am. Click here for more information.

The City of Takoma Park has partnered with several organizations to expand affordable homeownership opportunities and preserve and create “safe, sustainable, accessible, and affordable ” housing across socioeconomic groups.

Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland (Garland Avenue Project)

In September 2020, City Council authorized the use of $200,000 from the City’s Housing Reserve Fund, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland, to purchase, redevelop, and sell a Takoma Park property.

Housing Initiative Partnership, Inc. (320 Lincoln Avenue Project)

The City selected the nonprofit developer, Housing Initiative Partnership, Inc. (HIP), to develop 320 Lincoln Avenue into an affordable homeownership opportunity.
