Futsal League

Futsal, a sport similar to soccer, offers the perfect combination of learning and fun. The league is designed to improve fundamental techniques and offers skill development during the winter months. Futsal is also a great opportunity to meet new friends and stay active and healthy all season long. The league is divided into two divisions for ages 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12. Space is limited to 40 kids in each division.

Team Requests

All team requests (i.e., coach, player) must be made at the time of registration to be considered. Requests are not guaranteed and are on a first come first person basis.

All of our volunteers are required to complete a background consent form prior to working directly with our youth. If you are interested in volunteering, please follow the link below to complete the online application. Please select John Webster as the “individual requesting the background screening” when filling out the application.

There will be a coaches meeting prior to the season starting.

Winter Futsal League Game & Practice Information

Games

The season will begin January 12, 2025. Games will be on Sundays. Futsal has an eight game season.

Practices

Practices will be starting  in January and will be held at the Takoma Park Recreation Center (7315 New Hampshire Ave.) orTakoma Park Elementary School (7511 Holly Ave.).

Specific practice times will be determined by coaches availability.

Inclement Weather and Game Cancellations

Practices held in schools will follow the guidance of the Board of Education regarding school closures and after hour rentals cancellations.

Games are held on Sundays at our facility. In the event of inclement weather, we follow the guidance of City of Takoma Park closures.

If there are any cancellations, we immediately reach out to coaches who will in turn reach out to notify players’ families.
