About the ADA Sidewalk Compliance Program
In FY 2010, the Council established a goal of repairing existing sidewalks throughout the city to meet ADA compliance standards. A budget is established annually and work is completed on existing sidewalks to bring them into compliance. Assistance is provided by contract engineering and inspection to confirm compliance.
Current Project Status
The FY19 budget includes $200,000 for sidewalk repair along State owned and maintained roadways and $109,000 for ADA work on existing City sidewalks.
All of the $109,000 allocated for City sidewalk will be spend to make the sidewalk along the western side of Flower Avenue ADA Compliant. The sidewalk along the western side of Flower Ave. is outside the project limit of the Flower Avenue Green Street Project.
