ADA Sidewalk Compliance Program

About the ADA Sidewalk Compliance Program

In FY 2010, the Council established a goal of repairing existing sidewalks throughout the city to meet ADA compliance standards. A budget is established annually and work is completed on existing sidewalks to bring them into compliance. Assistance is provided by contract engineering and inspection to confirm compliance.

Current Project Status

For FY18, $300,000 is included in the budget for sidewalk repair. The FY18 ADA sidewalk repairs on City streets has been completed and budget expended. Work will continue in FY19.

The work on ADA compliance for sidewalks on State roads is expected to being in the Spring of 2018.
