Spring
Spring is the time that brings the plants in our area back to life. It is also a time of potential heavy rains, flash floods, and sometimes strong winds, knocking down power lines. Stay alert to changing conditions.
Spring can bring heavy rains and cause flooding, but really it can happen any time of the year. Always be aware of your surrounds when you are out or at home. If heavy rains are occurring where you are at think about the possibility of flooding. Low lying areas are susceptible to flooding and it does not take a lot of swift moving water to knock you over or move a vehicle.
