Curbside Collection Services
The City of Takoma Park’s Public Works Department provides curbside collection services for all single family and multi-family apartments of up to 12 units whose owner has chosen to receive City services. Curbside collection services are not offered for institutions, commercial properties and multi-family apartments with more than 12 units.

Sort it out! Use Takoma Park’s Waste Wizard to check if something can be recycled curbside, should be thrown out, brought to Public Works, or should be safely disposed during our annual Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Day.

Plastic Bags No Longer Accepted Curbside
As of July 1, 2015 plastic film and plastic bags can no longer accepted in the City's collection curbside recycling program.
