Community Policing

The Takoma Park Police Department is committed to providing the highest quality of police services by promoting an environment where police department employees and the community work in a partnership with a goal of improving the quality of life within our expanding multi-ethnic community, while at the same time maintaining respect for the diversity, individual rights and dignity of all residents. This is integral towards developing and maintain strong relationships. Our goal is to continue to expand these relationships, especially with those within our community that may have mistrust of the police.
